We love it when a plan comes together. We love it even more when a collaborative plan between some of the sharpest creatives we’ve ever encountered comes together. This is exactly what we accomplished when we teamed up with creative consultants and strategists Fiona Humberstone and Brownwyn Durand to develop a new brand for the iconic, Roger Lewis. Roger Lewis is a second generation furniture designer and manufacturer known for their high-quality of work. Today, they create pieces with a contemporary/mid-century vibe. The RL brand is known throughout Europe and for good reason – their work is impeccably crafted and perfectly styled.
We allowed the Roger Lewis aesthetic to guide us as we moved forward with our creative process in developing the key pieces, beginning with an elegant-yet-masculine, classically-sophisticated logo that communicates the “winter gravitas” of the RL identity. As always, we were stoked to have the freedom to do what we do as professionals and translate the Roger Lewis ethos into some damn fine design, whittling down the color palette to just two accents, and finding subtle ways to utilize the strength of the “R” and “L” throughout the brand. And, of course, we HAD to come with our strong collateral game (don’t those business cards make you melt!).
The final brand is modern, fresh and even a little bit fun just like Roger Lewis family. We’re sure these makers of iconic sofas now have an timeless, iconic brand to carry them into future.
