In a world full of chaotic colors and rebellious patterns, minimalist design is a much-needed breath of fresh air. It’s all about keeping things so fresh and so clean and adding only the most essential elements in a thoughtful and sleek way.

When you go minimalistic, you’ve officially leveled up. You’re purposely including only what you need and respecting the fact that adding extra ish would be Team Too Much.

Want to do simple visuals the right way? We hear you and that’s why we’re sharing our dos and don’ts that’ll have you on the stairway to minimalist heaven.

Make Your Message Clear. Your visuals should carry the message of your brand without doing the most. If they’re confusing, then it’s time to go back to the drawing board. Ask yourself: “Self, what message is my brand trying to send?” Whatever that is, find a clever way show it in your design so people are drawn to it. To know it is to love it!

Find a Good Balance. Want to know a secret to creating eye-catching design balance? White space, also known as negative space. If you don’t know by now, we wholeheartedly believe white space is the bomb.com. It gives graphics and text room to breath and makes them easier to read and see, which gets us all giddy inside. Clutter be gone!

Play with Color. Monochromatic color is not the holy grail of minimalism. Feel free to play with hues and create a stunning design by sticking to one to three colors on your palette. Try pairing a bright color with white and black to give that wow factor, without forcing monotone down your throat.

Don’t Be Afraid to Think Outside of the Box. If you think thought minimalist design was a bore, imagine never trying something new! Get playful with font types and raised textures that put a new spin on your look. The design options are plenty and anxiously waiting for you bring your design to life. Your packaging will practically scream, “Damn, I’m nice!”

Don’t Overthink It. Overthinking leads to overdoing. And why would we ever want to do that? When you feel you’ve gone off of the design deep end, stay calm and take a step back. Decide on what you need to eliminate to keep the content as the one and only star.

Simplicity is our thing and we hope you love it too! Do you have an awesome minimalist design that you can’t get enough of? Share in the comments below!
